Inspection

AnovaBuy QC photos, read before you tick Submit package

What the quality check at AnovaBuy covers, how to read the photos it sends, when to ask for more, and what to do when a photo shows a problem.

QC on the AnovaBuy warehouse floor

QC, short for quality control, is the check staff make when your goods reach the warehouse, plus the photos they upload for you. At AnovaBuy it is a visual check against your order: style, quantity, colour, size label, model and obvious damage. It is free. The photos are the only time you see the product before it is sealed into a parcel and sent across the world.

Flow: goods arrive, box opened, compared with order, photographed, re-bagged, shelved
What happens to a product between the seller's courier and the warehouse shelf, per AnovaBuy's inspection articles.

Five passes over each inspection photo

This is how to check QC photos without missing the obvious. Open each one at full size. Thumbnails hide exactly the details that matter. Then go through it in this order, which runs from the cheapest problem to fix to the most expensive:

Five-pass QC checklist: right product, right colour, size label, workmanship, damage
A QC checklist that matches what AnovaBuy inspects, so anything you find is something you can raise.

Colour is the hardest pass. Warehouse lights make whites look blue and dark greens look black. If the colour is the reason you bought the item, ask for a detailed photo near a window or beside plain white paper, and say why in the request.

Ordering the one-yuan detail shots

Count on two free photos: one AnovaBuy article says exactly that, another says the usual set runs to two or three. For anything with a fit you care about, order detailed photos at CNY 1 each. When you order them, the Precise Photo Service article wants exact notes and a number of photos that fits those notes.

Examples of detailed photo requests: pit-to-pit with a tape, sole close-up, inside label, zip and clasp
Requests that tend to come back useful. One photo per line.

You can order these at the Confirm Order stage (the Extra Photo option) or after the goods arrive. Ordering at checkout saves a round trip.

A flaw in the photo: three routes

What you can do depends on the kind of problem and the day. Something clearly wrong, such as the wrong item, the wrong size label, a stain or large damage, is inside the inspection scope: contact support from the order. A change of mind is a no-reason return, which has to be requested within five days of the goods going In Stock and costs you the return postage. Small colour shifts and loose threads are outside the scope, and AnovaBuy says so plainly.

Decision card: wrong item or damage, contact support; change of mind within five days, no-reason return; minor colour or thread, outside scope
Three kinds of photo problem and the route for each.

Electronics are the awkward case. Staff confirm the outside is intact and the accessories are present, but they do not switch anything on. Buy electronics from sellers with clear return terms, because a fault will only show up at home.
